A. Mileto Joseph
grew up in the Bronx with a passion for sports and comedy. He
was able to combine them in his first two projects “PASTA
& PIGSKIN.” An off-off Broadway hit in June of 2005
and his first published book “Poetry of the game”
a book revolved around baseball made up of short poems.
He followed up his success of “PASTA & PIGSKIN”
with three off-Broadway comedy skit shows over the past several
Junes. Each show drew large crowds and roars of laughter. These
plays have become extremely popular with in Italian- American
communities in New York and New Jersey as well as people of all
cultures from the metropolitan area.
He
is now venturing in to film with several projects in the pipe
line. His projects range from documentaries, short films and a
feature he hopes to have produced in the near future. His writing
style relies heavily on creating characters people can relate
to and is obsessed with believable and natural dialogue even in
comedy. He also believes to write in as many funny lines as possible.
An actor once asked him if he worried the live audience would
miss the lines with the sound of laughter? He replied “it
don’t matter there’s another one liner coming in about
three seconds, they can catch that one.”
Joseph
is extremely excited to be working with Director James
Madio . Madio is also a former Bronx resident who has established
a successful career in film. James has appeared in several extremely
popular films such as “Hook, Hero, Basketball Diaries and
HBO’s Band of Brothers. Madio has worked with some of the
most talented people in the motion picture industry “Spielberg,
Di Caprio and Hoffman just to name a few. Mileto believes he is
going to blow people away as a director in “Baby Bomber”
and in many films in the future.
He is also pleased to have the chance to work with Harrington
Talents who has been putting out quality work for over ten
years. Harrington has produced award winning films and has worked
with some of the biggest names in the film and music industry.
Executive Producer Michael Keith rounds out the team of the people
who are bringing “Baby Bomber” from the baseball fields
of the Bronx to the big screen. Michael’s contribution and
faith in the team is second to none.
Mileto
has had many positive influences on his career and friends who
have helped him along the journey. He has received constant guidance
and support from Independent filmmaker Chris Raffaele. Chris was
a driving force in getting “PASTA & PIGSKIN” on
stage and has always advised and lent an ear when needed. William
Lappe has also influenced Joseph to continue his path in film.
Lappe and Mileto continue to collaborate on several films, such
as “Pleasant Days” and “The Last American”.
Joseph
has received huge support from friends like Frank Pirrone and
Frank Criscione. He also credits several of his actors for being
an outlet he can turn to when he needs creative advice. By far
Joseph’s biggest influence comes from home. His wife and
